I would like to thank all the brethren that attended the memorial sevices for Brother Edwin McNutt and Brother George Wilson. The turn out was great for both.

As the summer draws to a close and lodge starts back up on September 15^th I hope to see you at our meetings. We have two major events coming up in the next several months and the lodge needs your support. The first of these events will be the annual Apple Fest on October 2^nd. This is our only fund raising of the year. We will need help on Friday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.to unload the truck and set up the grill. We will need help all day Saturday to work and sell the apple dumplings. We start at 6:00 a.m. and finish up in the afternoon when everything is sold. You don’t have to come for the whole day. You can come for an hour or two to help and enjoy the fellowship with your brothers. All money made will go into the building fund.

The second event is the annual ladies night banquet on November 6^th at the Level Fire Hall./ This is the night we show our ladies how much they mean to our lodge and for all their support.The food and the entertainment are always great and enjoyed by all.

This is also a great time to see and meet the brethren of the lodge and their families.

Although we haven’t been meeting in the summer things have been happening at the lodge. Brother Gene Burchette has been working on getting things ready for the Apple Festival. Brother Dave Kraus has been working very hard on the remodeling of the building all summer.

This project is under way. We are hooked to town water and the new roof is in place.

The new roof project cost the lodge about $14,000.00. Your donation would be greatly appreciated to help offset the cost of this expense. The first meeting in October we will

give an update on the remodeling project and how we propose to proceed from there.

It is with deep sorrow to inform you that Bro. Edwin McNutt and Bro. PM George Wilson passed from labor to rest. Bro. McNutt was Initiated Oct. 5, 1939, Passed Nov. 2, 1939 and Raised Dec. 7, 1939. He died June 6, 2004. Bro. Wilson was Initiated on April 19, 1967, Passed June 28, 1967 and Raised November 1, 1967.

The Harford County School of Instructions will be held on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10^TH in Esdraelon Lodge No. 176 at 7:30 p.m. All Officers are urged to attend and all Master Masons are invited.

On SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11^th , starting at 8:00 a.m. we will have a work day at the lodge building. The yard needs to be repaired so it will be ready for Apple Fest.

Practice will start on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13^th at 7:00 p.m. All Officers are requested to attend and all brethren who would like to help please come out.

A Stated Communication of Stephenson Lodge No. 135, A.F. & A.M. will be held on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15^th at 7:30 p.m. The Master Mason catechism will beconducted on those who are ready to stand it

On SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18^th, Harvest Homes Day will be held at Bonnie Blink starting 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. All Master Masons their sons, grandsons, nephews, and all male friends and neighbors are invited.

A Stated Communication of Stephenson Lodge No. 135, A.F. & A.M. will be held on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6^th at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will be devoted to a discussion on the remodeling of the temple building. This is a very important meeting and please attend if at all possible.

The Harford County School of Instructions will be held on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8^th at 7:30 p.m. in Stephenson Lodge No. 135. All Officers are urged to attend.

On SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17^th Stephenson Lodge will conduct the Perry Point Escort Service. If you can help please contact Bro. Bob Edwards, Ph: 410 836 3959.
