April 2003 Trestleboard

On MONDAY, April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th at 7:00 pm, there will be practice on the degrees for all officers and those interested in helping with the work.

A Stated Communication of Stephenson Lodge No. 135 AF&AM will be held on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2nd at 7:30 pm. THE CIVIL WAR IS COMING TO STEPHENSON LODGE! After a short meeting, Lodge will be opened for our family and friends. Brother Bruce Nelson will be giving us an interesting talk on the Civil War. Come-bring someone with you and let’s make a good showing for this entertainment.

The Harford County School of Instructions will be held on FRIDAY, APRIL the 11th in Susquehanna Lodge No 130, AF&AM at 7:30 pm. The Fellowcraft Degree will be exemplified. All officers are requested to attend and all Master Masons are welcomed.

A Stated Communication of Stephenson Lodge No. 135 AF&AM will be held on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16th at 7:30 pm. Brother William Smith will stand his proficiency in the Fellowcraft degree. BROTHER MICHAEL FIORE will give a talk on his recent trip to Italy. This will be an interesting talk as Bro. Fiore attended Lodges there. Come and bring a Master Mason with you. Also, we will be voting on the petition for the degrees of Masonry on Mr. Chad Michael Blevins, age 22, Residence 201 Hopkins Road, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078.

On SUNDAY, APRIL 20th Brother Bob Edwards will need help with the Escort Service at Perry point. Please give him a call (410-836-3959) if you can help.

Brethren, it is with regret that I report that Brother Eugene L. Coulter passed from labor to rest on March 1, 2003 and Bro. Garfield Caudill (Honorary Member) passed from labor to rest on March 17, 2003.

A happy Note: Stephenson Lodge received a large contribution to the building fund this month. It is the largest donation given since our Lodge has been in existence, (135 years). We now have over $40,000 in the fund and growing. Feel free to make your donation at any time. All gifts, large or small will be appreciated.

Some of you have received notice that your dues are past due. Please make an effort to make payment.

Sunday, April 13th: Grand Lodge Oyster/Bull Roast-Time 2:00pm to 6:pm at the Grand Lodge Facility. Cost is $25 per ticket. Cut off date is April 7th

Sunday, April 20th: Grand Lodge Annual Easter Sunrise Services at Bonnie Blink at 7:30am All Master masons, family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
